WHILE the opening two days have been rain affected, we are hoping the inclement weather stays away from London so we can see some quality tennis.
Who are we kidding? This is England – the only place in the world that could have “summer” days of drizzle and high temperatures of 15 degrees.
Enough of the weather report, let’s get into this week’s Wimbledon multi.
We have inserted two Australians into this multi, but unfortunately we cannot in good conscience advise punters to back them as the pair have tough second round matchups.
In the other legs, we are expecting a tour veteran to keep his unbeaten streak against his second round opponent alive while a battle of two former Grand Slam champions has caught our eye.
All odds for the multi are provided by sportsbet.com.au, which is great for those looking to take our tips and put them in a parlay.
Sportbet is offering a terrific boosted special for punters looking to put on a four or more legged multi at Wimbledon.
Get an additional 20 per cent on top of your winnings if your four or more legged multi on either the men’s or women’s singles is successful.

Benoit Paire to beat Jonathan Millman – $1.69
Stan Wawrinka to beat Juan Martin del Potro – $1.61

Combined multi total: $5.51 @ Sportsbet.com.au
Denis Istomin vs. Nicolas Almagro
Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin takes on Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in the second round of the Championships.
The current world number 116 Istomin stunned the 20th seed Kevin Anderson in his opening match, coming back from two sets to love down to claim a famous victory.
Almagro also took five sets to progress through, but the world number 46 almost blew a 2-0 set lead before rallying in the fifth to defeat Brazilan Rogerio Dutra Silva.
Istomin has dominated Almagro over the course of his career, dropping just one set in their previous five meetings on the professional circuit.
We are expecting Istomin to continue his spectacular run against the Spaniard intact en route to the third round.
Winner: Denis Istomin – $1.34
Benoit Paire vs. Jonathan Millman
A battle between two men that had to do it the hard way in the first round as Australian John Millman takes on Frenchman Benoit Paire.
Millman was forced to come back from two sets to one down to record a gritty five set win over Spaniard Albert Montanes.
26th seed Paire did not have it his way in the opening round, forcing a fifth set after coming back from two sets to one down.
This match will be the first time the duo have ever met on the professional circuit.
Neither man has a great record at the All-England Club.
The Aussie Millman has never progressed past the stage he is currently at, while the Frenchman Paire has peaked in London at the third round.
We are expecting the experience of the Frenchman to help him overcome the plucky Aussie.
Winner: Benoit Paire to win – $1.69
Stan Wawrinka vs. Juan Martin del Potro
What a matchup we have in the second round of Wimbledon.
Two-time Grand Slam winner and fourth seed Stan Wawrinka faces off against former US Open champion Jaun Martin del Potro; who is playing his first Grand Slam since the Australian Open back in 2014 after overcoming a series of wrist injuries.
Swiss star Wawrinka took four sets to get past his round one opponent American teenager Taylor Fritz, while del Potro breezed past Frenchman Stephane Robert in straight sets.
This will be the first time the two have played one another in four years, a match that the Spaniard won in straight sets, but the two times the men have met on grass Wawrinka has reigned supreme.
Stan Wawrinka has never lost to del Potro on grass and we expect that trend to continue.
Winner: Stan Wawrinka to win – $1.61
Sam Stosur vs. Sabine Lisicki
Former Wimbledon finalist Sabine Lisicki faces 2011 US Open champion Sam Stosur in the last leg of our multi.
It is a battle of two women who are on the comeback trail after inauspicious 2015 campaigns.
Both women take great form into the match after progressing through to the second round in straight sets, however, two fortunes of the ladies in Wimbledon tournaments in the past could not be further apart.
Lisicki’s past six visits to London have yielded three quarter-finals, a semi-final and a final whilst Stosur has never progressed past the fourth round at the All-England Club.
Unfortunately for Sam she has come up against a grass court specialist in the second round of a major tournament she perennially struggles at.
It looks like it will be another early round exit for Stosur at the Championships.
Winner: Sabine Lisicki to win – $1.52
