THE 2016 season is done and dusted at the top of the table for all intents and purposes, and incredibly, those Foxes of Leicester defied the pre-season odds of $5001 to win their first ever Premier League title.
Claudio Ranieri’s men become just the sixth team since the Premier League era began in 1992 to win the trophy.
While the battle for the title has concluded, the relegation fight at the bottom of the table has spiced up even further after a perfect set of results for Newcastle.
The Magpies were all but relegated a month ago, but the Toon army has rallied under new manager Rafa Benitez, who has reinvigorated his group.
Newcastle sit one point clear of Norwich and Sunderland heading into the stages of the season, but the Black Cats and the Canaries have a game in hand each on the Magpies.
Norwich ($1.14) are the favourites of the three to go down to the second tier of English Football at Sportsbet.com.au, while Tyne-Wear rivals Sunderland ($1.67) and Newcastle ($1.45) are hard to split.
All odds this week are provided by Sportsbet.com.au, which is fantastic for those who do not yet have an online betting account.

Aston Villa vs. Newcastle
Sunday, May 8 from 12am at Villa Park, Birmingham
Two teams that could be playing in the division below the Premier League kick off our multi this week at Villa Park when the Magpies travel to the West Midlands to face Aston Villa.
Newcastle currently sit one point out of the bottom three, but the two teams currently in the relegation zone – Sunderland and Norwich – have a game in hand on the toon.
Nothing short of a win will do for Newcastle.
For Aston Villa, their fate is already sealed.
The Villains have not beaten Newcastle in any competition since April of 2011.
The Magpies’ fight for survival coupled with the Villains’ impending relegation points towards a comfortable win for the visitors.
We are expecting Newcastle to kick off our multi at midnight in style.
Parlay tip: Newcastle to win – $1.57
Sunderland vs. Chelsea
Sunday, May 8 from 12am at the Stadium of Light, Sunderland
Another team facing relegation host this year’s biggest disappointments at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland and Chelsea face off in England’s north – the Black Cats are scrapping for survival while the Blues are just playing for pride.
Sunderland have won just one game in their last ten Premier League matches against last season’s champions.
A lot of Chelsea players have a point to prove to the incoming manager Antonio Conte after a dismal first half of the season, and at the odds Sportsbet have for a top-10 side to beat the relegation embattled Sunderland are too good to ignore.
Parlay tip: Chelsea to win – $2.40
West Ham vs. Swansea
Sunday, May 8 from 12am at Upton Park, London
Top four aspirants West Ham host the middle of the road Swansea at Upton Park to round out our midnight multi fixtures.
The Hammers have been on a magnificent run in the league this year, and have only lost just one game since the beginning of February.
If Slaven Bilic’s men have three games to make up the five points on fourth placed Manchester City, and it very much hinges on the outcome of this match.
West Ham are $9.50 at Sportsbet.com.au to finish in a Champions League spot by the end of the season.
Swansea are in no man’s land; but after insuring they will keep their Premier League status next season after a terrific 3-1 victory over Liverpool, they will be able to play unencumbered for the remainder of their campaign.
The Swans have not beaten West Ham on their home ground since 1956, and we are finding it hard to see any other result this weekend.
Parlay tip: West Ham to win – $1.50
Leicester vs. Everton
Sunday May 8 from 2.30am at King Power Stadium, Leicester
The 2015/16 Premier League winners Leicester City play their first game since being crowned champions against the mid-table Everton at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes wrapped up their maiden title win after Tottenham failed to secure victory against Chelsea despite having a two goal lead.
The title is in the bag for Leicester and the celebrations have begun, and we the champions to have a similar set of results to Chelsea last season – who struggled to register wins after acquiring the title.
Leicester’s complacency can be a point of exploitation for Everton – who also have a terrific record against the Foxes.
Just one of the past seven matches between the two sides has ended in a win to Leicester City, and we are expecting the form line to continue here.
Everton to win or draw is the final leg of our multi and we are confident they will be able to get the job done to make us some cash.
Parlay tip: Everton double chance – win or draw – $1.83
