Super Bowl 50 celebrationWITH the extravaganza that is the Super Bowl done and dusted for another year, the fans of the internet have done their best to keep the event in the headlines.

We have scoured the internet to bring you the crème de le cream of all the post-game reactions and the funniest memes that graced the net after the Broncos’ historic win.

If that’s not enough, we’ve also got the update on the Super Bowl 51 markets right here.

Cheer up Eli – be happy for your brother

As Super Bowl 50 came towards its conclusion, the cameras continued to pan to the skybox that had the Manning family overlooking Peyton’s exploits on the field.

When the Broncos scored a touchdown in the dying stages to seal victory over the Carolina Panthers, the majority of Manning box broke out in absolute ecstasy; except for one man.

You would think the two-time Super Bowl winner Eli Manning would be happy his brother matched the amount of rings the New York Giant quarterback has to his name, but that did not seem the case.

Eli’s reaction seemed closer to someone who just realised he left the stove on at home rather than being the brother of the man who just won the Super Bowl.

When asked about his brother’s reaction in the post-game press conference, Peyton did not believe his brother was jealous of his success.

“We don’t do that. That’s not what we do,” Peyton Manning said.

“Maybe you guys, your brothers do that. That’s not what we do.”

Judge for yourself if Eli is just bitter he no longer has the bragging rights over big brother Peyton anymore.

Crying Cam Newton

Before the game even wrapped up in San Francisco the Michael Jordan crying memes had already began to circulate on social media.

The meme has been incredibly popular since Michael Jordan shed tears at his NBA Hall of Fame induction in 2002, and given his connection to the state of Carolina; the memes were likely to come thick and fast if the Panthers were unable to hoist the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night.

The Broncos toppled the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 and the rest is history.

Given there were so many great options to choose from it was hard to settle on just one so we went with our absolute favourite – crying Michael Newton.

Bandwagon fans look away now

For those NFL fairweather fans looking to jump on the hot team of the moment, the Super Bowl of 2016 did not have the result that you were after.

Just like the Seattle Seahawks of the previous two Super Bowls, neutral NFL fans flocked to the Panthers in the hope of seeing the franchise notch up its first ever Super Bowl win in their maiden appearance.

The Panthers lost and the bandwagoners feigned disappointment.

One meme that went viral in the aftermath of the match pondered just how many fans would stick with the Panthers after their Super Bowl 50 loss.

Gaga killing two birds with one stone

Even the entertainers were not exempt from the mockery.

Platinum selling artist Lady Gaga was given the honour of singing the national anthem prior to the commencement of Super Bowl 50, and she did not disappoint – gaining universal acclaim for her rendition.

For once in her career, Gaga elected to go with a more subdued garment, but that did not stop the internet world from ripping her to shreds.

The best meme questioned whether Gaga had an appointment to attend directly after the Super Bowl given her look matched a certain popular movie franchise.
